Location Manager in Madison, WI

This position would be managing 60 employees at the  Madison, WI location.

Salary – $40,000 – $45,000 based on experience.

* An elevated understanding of the importance of processes, procedures and responsibilities pertaining to a management position. Thorough knowledge of satellite systems installation or similar industry.

  • Flexible work schedule 
  • Valid driver’s license and non-negligent driving record
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees

 Essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for managing the activities of employees
  • Maximization of employee resources in order to achieve company goals. 
  • Responsible for interviewing and hiring
  • Planning, assigning, and directing work
  • Appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Coordinates training new and current installation staff on new and effective installation techniques, tools and equipment
  • Coordinates warehouse facility activities and inventory count
  • Responsible for achieving installation/productivity goals specific to the supervised location

The company owned vehicle (COV) installers will need to report to the office on their scheduled days to pick up a company vehicle and equipment.  The personally owned vehicle (POV) installers will work from their home and be responsible for inventory, van and other equipment. 
Our field based Installers work to install our equipment and teach our customers how to use their state-of-the-art DISH Network satellite TV system. DISH Network Installers are supported by a strong team of AEI employees including Customer Service Representatives, Trainers, Quality Assurance Specialists, Inventory Specialists, and Managers. Education and Experience:

The Satellite System Installer / Technician spearheads the installation, as well as assists with testing and repairing equipment that receives digital signals for residential customers by performing the following duties:

  • Uses problem-solving and technical skills to install satellite dishes and related equipment
  • Evaluates job site to assess optimal placement of satellite dish and communicates with customers to review the installation process
  • Troubleshoots systems to determine the appropriate resolution for reported problems with usage
  • Provides customer education regarding system usage
  • Manages the administrative processes including van inventory and appropriate documentation
  • Ensures that the highest quality of service is provided to promote superior customer satisfaction
  • Adheres to safety guidelines and requirements

AEI does NOT require you to pay for your equipment ahead of time.


Requirements for this position are:
*Good work history-construction/cable/satellite industry experience is a plus (must be able to work out doors in all kinds of weather)
*A valid Drivers’ License with a good driving record
*Must be able to carry up to 70 pounds up a ladder
*Not be afraid of heights
*Able to work in small spaces

Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and the ability to learn and perform required duties. A background check and drug test will be preformed as part of pre-employment.

Additional Information:

  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Must also be able to write simple correspondence, effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization
